Crown is seeking out a full-time Mechanical Drafter.
Requirements
- Associates degree (minimum) in Computer Drafting & Design (or similar).
- 2-5 years’ experience drafting within the architectural/engineering/construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 or newer
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.
- Ability to work with structural engineers and other drafters/modelers.
- Working independently in accordance with departmental objectives and procedures.
- Ability to work and interact well with others.
- Ability to read blueprints/takeoffs/template notes.
- Ability to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch with accuracy and precision.
- Ability to utilize all Microsoft Products.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
- AutoCAD Advanced Steel
- Revit
- Experience working in construction or steel fabrication fields Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering or related
- Designation or Certification from recognized CAD training facility.

- Create 3D model from start to finish, coming up with design upon request, taking field measurements as needed, making revisions after initial design is reviewed
- Create and maintain Production Drawings.
- Provide installation instructions from sketches by verbal and/or written format.
- Create and maintain customer requested drawings, layouts and enhanced views of products.
- Manage drawings in the company Document Management System.
- Create change orders and initiate processing.
- Update drawings per as-builts received from the fabricating shop.
- Perform all QAQC duties for the fabricating shop including but not limited to:
- Squareness of project
